The NSW P&C Federation has announced a first of its kind fundraising partnership with gourmet meal delivery service Providoor to make it easier for P&C Associations to raise much needed funds for their schools.
The partnership will see school P&Cs receive a percentage of sales made through the Providoor website using their own unique landing page for orders.
"This partnership with Providoor marks a significant advancement for our P&Cs, creating a fundraising solution that benefits everyone involved,” says President of the P&C Federation of NSW Yvonne Hilsz.
“Not only does it offer families quality meal options at a discount, but it also ensures a steady commission for P&Cs. It's a win-win solution that supports our communities while fundraising,” says Ms Hilsz.
P&Cs across New South Wales will have access to the new fundraising initiative which aims to alleviate the time and resources burden on parents.
A recent survey of P&C members found more than 2,000 hours of volunteer time goes into running the average P&C each year.
"One of the persistent challenges we face in school fundraising is the reliance on volunteer time, this can be a significant barrier for many of our members. This partnership minimises the time commitment from volunteers while maximising returns. This approach allows more members to contribute in ways that fit their busy schedules," says Ms Hilsz.
Last year P&Cs raised more than $40m to supplement public school funding of operations, resources activities and infrastructure.
"P&Cs constantly seek new and engaging ways to fundraise. This partnership with Providoor offers a fun and straightforward way for P&Cs to reach their goals through a year round program," she says.
As part of this launch, schools also have the opportunity to enter in a competition to win a celebrity chef attend a fundraising event in Term 4.
“Whether it be Manu Fiedel reading trivia night questions, Anna Polyviou running a private cooking class or Justin Narayan firing the starting pistol for a parents foot race,“ says Mr Youngman.
Individual school P&Cs must register for the partnership program, with several schools already signing up.
